Sony’s newest game console, Playstation 5 or PS5 will have game sharing features like PS4 Premier on PS4. The advantage of this feature on the PS5 is that it will be easier to use.
Sony, as reported by Gamerant this week, will name the game sharing feature on the PS5 as Console Sharing and Offline Play. As the name implies, this feature will not only function to share games, but also allows games to be played in offline conditions.
How to Activate the Gaming Sharing Feature on PS5
Here’s how to enable the console sharing feature on PS5:
- Go to Settings
- Select Users and Accounts > Other
- Select Console Sharing and Offline Play
- Select Disable or Don’t Disable
If you activate this feature on a PS5 console, then anyone who plays on that device will be able to access all the game collections that have been downloaded on your PlayStation Network (PSN) account.
When you activate the console sharing feature on a friend’s PS5, he will be able to play your game collection on his console. Even if you log out of your PSN account on the console, your game collection will still be accessible to the console owner.
When you return home and log into your PSN account again, you can still play your games on your own console. Unfortunately the console sharing feature on the PS5 can only be activated on one other console.
PS5 will be released on November 12th. For those who want to order, purchases can only be made online to minimize the transmission of the Covid-19 virus.
PS5 is available in two variants, standard and digital. The standard version of the PS5 costs US$499 or around Rp. 7.4 million and the PS5 Digital is around US$399 or Rp. 5.9 million.
